That thom yorke album is up there for sure. The Melvins Houdini Live album as well. Same with the new Sonic Youth joint and Tool and The Raconteurs.
Return to Cookie Mountain is one of the best so far as well, although its not actually out yet.

If it still has the same replay value to you, more power to you. I honestly think you are one of the first people I've heard say that though.

Right. It isn't an Aenima. It isn't a f*cking Lateralus, either. There's more than ten records that came out this year better than that quick, force-fed bullsh*t record that has Maynard sounding like a f*cking jerk-off on some "Foot in mouth & head up asshole / What ya talkin' 'bout?" B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T.
Top ten album this year... wow. And suck my d*ck, kicko... it isn't my fault you're dumb enough to snuggle up with some half-assed album because of the name on the album cover.
Go ahead and name some bad records that came out this year. I'm really interested in hearing your list (i'd bet my future kids the list is reaallly short).

Sorry man but 10,000 Days is better than Lateralus. I was worried they were gonna do the same thing with this album they did with that: have no good ideas and essentially make a long ass pointless song cycle in between Maynerds comittment to his sh!tty band, but they came with songs again. A good album, they'll never hit the heights of Anima again, but no one will.

You know, you might be right. When I first got the record I listened to it for about three days. Since then I haven't listened to it once. I still think it's one of the best of the year.

Remy Martin's joint
Camron's joint
As Blood Runs Black's joint (not that good, but it's the only rock I'm really feeling -- at least it's really heavy and crazy)
Wicked Wisdom's joint
DJ Khaled's joint
There might be more (or better choices), but I can't think now.
i just gotta add the new pigeon john cd. sh!t is catchy

It's not a solid album.
It's not a good album.
It's not better than Lateralus.
It's incomplete, predictable and a failed effort overall. There are two cuts off the record that do justice. That's all. As i said before, it's borderline retarded to call it one of the better records of 2006 thus far. Dude wanted me to name 10 albums better than it; I wouldn't do you the favor. You probably haven't listened to 10 records this year in mentioning that album.
...let it be known i'm not righteous folk. It's just obvious to me, and a lot of other people.

chill, son. that's just your opinion doggy. you know what, i really fukkin HATE all these self righteous, pretentious fools who get so pissed off when someone considers any album they personally dislike anything better than what they believe it is. so kindly fukk off and go listen to your current faux-savior of music gnarles barkley or whatever other no-talent, generic-ass indie band that's the current flavor of the month.
with that said, i think it's a good, solid album, but subpar of what i expected from tool.

you usually seem chill about sh*t, now you are acting like you got your feelings hurt bad or something. you dont like the album? fine. quit acting like a whiny b*tch already. lol @ me only listening to 10 albums this year. chill the f*ck out.
Maynard James Kenan wasted too much. That f*cking beast Tool could have basically ran the scene over with this album.
...instead we got a cool album cover with goggles.
I used to dance my ass off when the DJ threw on Crazy. That's all i can say about Gnarls Barkley.
Congrats on loving the album. It's f*cking horrible.

lol @ saying current flavor of the month to a Tool fan. And "Subpar?" Now you're budging. Dig down, listen again, go back to Undertow... and tell me how Maynard is IMPERSONATING HIMSELF on 7/8 of 10,000 Days. Hardly leaving space on that album for innovation.
I will now f*ck off with this topic, and leave my top albums so far this year (in no particular order):
Jay Dee's joint Donuts.
Ghost's Fishscale
Knife's Silent Shout
Akir's Legacy
Destroyer's Destroyer's Rubies
DPT's Waterloo to Anywhere
Tapes 'N Tapes' Loon
Liars' Drum's Not Dead
YYY's Show Your Bones
and that Band of Horses joint.

Aight, I'm Top 5 Poster Dead or Alive, so listen to me.
90 percent of the albums you all mentioned are bad. I prolly only heard one of them, but I can tell they're bad. So let's stop arguing and starting sharing the love of music.
