I was so happy you called today.
I may not understand your journey
with God as your only guide,
but I respect your heart.
I always knew
you couldn't do it all yourself.
Though I wish you had noticed
God wasn't the only one,
offering you love and support.
Maybe someday you'll realize
God puts people on earth,
to do his comforting for him.
He can't hug you
He can't hold you,
He can only watch from afar.
So maybe someday
if you yearn for a soothing touch,
you'll seek a person.
I hope you learn to trust someone
with your vulnerability.
