I cried,
I just sat on top of the toilet seat and cried
I cried because I was so overwhelmed
Overwhelmed by the sheer audacity of people
Pulled in many different directions just looking for a way out
Only wanting to sit with my sweetie and just be
enjoy the environment and watch the day pass
I cried,
I cried because I missed you so much and
You were supposed to be here and
It’s just wasn’t the same without you
even though you have been gone for a while now
I still wanted you here
I needed you here
You presence was missed
I cried,
I cried because you were late
I know you called numerous times letting me know where you were
But you were still late
Maybe I was just over reacting because I was so frustrated
And I just wanted to be in your arms
I just wanted you to hold me
I just wanted to feel your lips on my forehead
Saying…baby relax
And I would
I cried yesterday
On one of the days I should have been so happy
