i read a lot of fiction. thrillers, murder mysteries hystorical fiction, but i enjoy reading everything. i want to be opening my eyes to things i would normally pass up.
Zipporah by Marek Halter is the book i want to read next.
i want to read memoires of a geisha, because my cousin read it in french, and loved it. i tried reading a page or two in french , but couldnt understand it so i want to read the english version.

read the classics then.
developing a stronger literary background goes a long way.

More Than Human by Theodore Sturgeon - a story about the next leap in human evolution, Although it has more to do with the people in the book than a bunch of Sci-fi stuff.
Godbody by Theodore Sturgeon - A story of a Christ-like character who teach a middle american town that there's nothing wrong with sex. It's explicit in some places, but not gratuitous (sp?)

let's see...
earlier this week i read a collection of short stores by Marquis de Sade...i assume you're familiar with him...while he was imprisoned he penned this book...it's funny his mother in law snitched on him and paid EXTRA to keep him imprisoned...
Never Say Never, damn honestly i read it so fast now i can't remember what it was about...but it'll come to me eventually....
After the Storm is the classic black woman finds husband cheating, gets down on herself, then her girls inspire her to turn her life around
Memoirs of a Geisha is a GREAT read...i re-read it every 2-3 years...
She's Come Undone (i finished that AGAIN last week) is a woman's story (starting in her pre-teens) in the 70s and 80s, she's overweight and sarcastic but eventually sheds the weight and gets in touch with herself...
right now i'm reading "Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda" again by LaJill Hunt
then I'm going to the library to soak up some biographies...

yeah i read it.
Best book I've read lately..
What Your Mother Couldn't Tell You and Your Father Didn't Know : Advanced Relationship Skills for Better Communication and Lasting Intimacy
Fire!
One thing I learned frm this book is that women want to communicate about their day without me offering solutions.. I tried this out, just nodding affirming my hearing.. then all of a sudden she [my gal] burst into a smile and says how glad she was she got that out..
Wish I would of read this book in high school.. would of made my life easier - by understanding how the female mind works and vice versa
cheers
