**I'm Not Accusing**I read some of the sh!t some of yall post and it's rediculous. Some of yall post benching over 200 pounds for 10 reps with all of those sets at under 170 pounds so i'm guessing ya'll some monsters and maxing out at close to 400 pounds. This would make alot of you guys stronger than D-1 football players. Can we keep it real and stop with the number padding and just tell the truth. Say if you were 165 and you benched 175 for 5 reps with 5 sets that would still make you very strong. Do you know well under half the men in the US can't lift their own body weight i.e. doing over 2 pullups. Then some of you want to cut down for the summer. One thing you must do is eat to lose weight and try to keep some muscle if you don't you gonna end up looking like a damn bean pole and when you start eating again your gonna blow up. If you want to bulk up you must eat at a caloric surplus (eat alot) to build muscle then cut down. Remember to be big you have to eat big and lift consistantly and heavy.Man if yall want some real advice and want to work so you don't have to lie about your lifting stats go to the forums at bodybuilding.com. It's okay to not be super strong it takes consistant hard work and dedication.

You really didn't post anything new and your post comes off as someone who knows very little in regards to weightlifting, fitness and nutrition. plus gneralizing things is never an intelligent thing to do(referring to title of the post).

Why is it impossible for a regular individual that weighs 165 lb(for example) to bench 225?? Theres tons of people that don't weight much and are really strong. Alot of exercises require a certain degree of technique, once an individual masters that technique eventually he/she will improve and lift heavier weights(considering that his/hers diet is solid).

It seems like you don't want to acknowledge that there are folks out there that weigh less than you who lift heavier weights than you. I know that there are people out there that are much smaller than I am (Im 254lbs, 6'0, 12%BF) that lift more than me and theres nothing wrong with that. I do my best in gym and thats all I can ask myself, I can't be too worried about what the next man can lift or can't lift. My max compound lifts(deadlift, squat and bench) are pretty solid, deadlift: 585lbs, squat:500lbs(ATF=ass to floor or bellow parallel), bench: 455lbs.

By the way some of the people here on the fitness forum do frequent other weightlifting, powerlifting and fitness&nutrition related forums. Myself, Im a big fan of powerlifting, olympic lifting, bodybuilding and strongmen stuff.

I didn't mean to generalize but it came off that way and now I see my mistake in wording it the way I did. I didn't mean to disrespect anyone at that that's why I said I wasn't accusing. But c'mon some of these questions I see come off as kind of obvious. I'm not going to list them but just take a look around these pages. Some talk about starving themselves just to lose weight and there are much better ways out there to do that. Also, I know alot when it comes to general nutrition and weight training even though I could learn alot more. The things I said are not new but on this forum it seems like the things I stated are not brought up alot. I see your pic and it looks like you are in great condition but you can't deny some of the things I said are not accurate. I do not doubt people could bench over 200 at a light bodyweight weight I see it alot when I go to the gym. But by some of the things I read it seems like people are decorating their lifts a little. I'll just keep my a$$ out of here and stay in the "hot" forums and keep my thoughts to myself and just do my thing. My bad if I offended anyone though. Maybe i'm just jealous.

I don't think anyones really padding their stats around here, and we're not all black on the forum so the thread is a little off. 205 is not alot, I could probably do that 20x's or more at 185. The most reps at 225 I've ever done was 15 at 185. Reggie Bush is only 200lbs, and his 225 rep max is 25. It is possible to be small and lift heavy....

And I think they got something called "pound for pound" in some colleges and other places. Thats whe they calculate how strong you are compared for someone your size. like, if you weigh 315 you're not pound for pound strong if you max 315. I'm pretty strong for someone my size, but I'm not the strongest and not the strongest guy in the gym neither. It's not really about that when I lift. And i've seen dudes just like me, almost everywhere I go. Another dude on this campus is the same height as me (used to be same weight) and used to squat 500-600 and bench over 315 when he played football. Knockstar on here weighs less than I do but benches more than me. It's not impossible..

oh and your'e right about the pullup thing, I've seen it. ask anybody who works out with me, I've gotten their sh*t up because of the standard I set. I can do about 35 pullups straight and about 75 pushups without stopping , so when they see that they gradually move up. My roomate couldn't do 2 pullups and 5 pushups when I first met him. Now he can do 10+ pullups and 25 pushups straight just because he's been working out with me. He's also brought his bench from maxing 95lbs to repping 165 x 5 since I've been in the gym with him. And he started this year. It's about the standard you set and how you work yourself to that standard. When I go home, i'm gonna workout with my brother to get in shape. He sets a higher standard than I do. My mind set is even though I don't play D-1 football, I will be just as strong as some of those dudes that do.

and gotdamn khalid. Your dead and bench is rediculous. I'm still struggling to get to 360 in bench, and could probably only dead 405 at the VERY most. I need to step my sh*t up...

Its all good man, your post just came off a bit off. And you're welcome in here, bro. No one has the authority to exclude anyone from this or any other forum, unless they're moderators. Im not a moderator, by the way. So sit back, relax, enjoy the fitness forum. We might learn something from you and vise versa in regards to fitness&nutrition in general.

Thats why this forum exists... to help educate people on lifting and proper nutrition for healthy living. I for one, don't start threads to brag or school people on certain things; instead I chill in the cut and answer questions that I see arise.

As for the lying and number padding, this is one thing that no one can prove. However I find your thread suspect since your the FIRST person to bring this up in the forum. Coming from experience and what I've seen, everything that people say on this board regarding their numbers are possible. Never doubt anyone when it comes to this subject because our genetic makeup allows for ANYTHING.

Also, you mentioned football players. You have to understand that Athletes and Bodybuilders are two different types of people. I have seen cats throw up 500 lbs. on Bench, Squat 700 lbs., or some other high number.... but they couldn't play football to save their life. Athletes are a genetic breed, if you will, when it comes to comparing them to the average muthaf*cka. They have to focus on Strength, Speed, and then Size; their priorities when it comes to lifting are completely different when compared to lets say mine or Khalid's. With that said, we as Bodybuilders are different compared to Athletes. Our bodies genetic makeup and muscle fibers allow us to pack on weight and grow muscle fibers faster than the average person. Our frames and build also lend a hand in our growth potential.

Those cats weigh under 200 lbs. and can lift much more than their body weight simply have better genetics. You gotta keep this in mind.

im black....im 168-170 lbs...and i max out 335 now....and no its not a lie...now maybe its hard to believe because u can't imagine yourself being around that....but i have no reason to lie...and even though there ARE some folks in here that lie...theres also folks in here that really do what they do...i been liften for 6 years...don't tell me what I cant do...just step your game up

I work VERY hard when im in the weight room...anybody who is consistant...and eats right..can get to benching almost twice their bodyweight...its not impossible or a "black thing"....

...and wtf does this have to do with being black? Seriously...where did that come from?
