I've never crossed a desert more expansive than her heart
She will not let me pass
Creating storms that I may not see the realness she is
I am not sure I will ever get my point across
I am human and it is humanly possible to love two at once
I'm dying trying to get my point across this desert she calls her heart
In loving me she forgot what the feeling of crying was
Now her heart is a beating ball of fire
Lost, and alone, dry
It's raining
She knows its okay to cry
She doesn't have to pretend to be strong
When the rains first began it was good
I thought she was coming back to life
But she won't stop...
Everything was good...
Until she couldn't stop
Now her desert is flooding
Crying streams, rivers, lakes, and Oceans
Standing with a fragile heart
Beating slowly, anticipating hurt
My ambivalence caused her insecurities
She is trying to drown me away from her thoughts
She knows I know how to swim
I will survive and be her constant
She will not let me pass
