I have twin cousins that turn 9 in a few months and I hate it when they go to McD's man. They do not go often and they are very very active. I wouldn't have it any other way, so I run with them and play tag. Keeps me in shape too. But then when it's raining or when they travel to upstate NY and there isn't sh1t to do there, they play in the McDonalds playground until they get hungry and they end up eating McD's. So I told them that they are never to go to mcD's at all. They food is really unhealthy and it's just doing you harm.
I also told them that the playground at McDonalds is a ploy. An evil strategy by their marketing team to lure the youth into eating their evil foods. (well, not in those words)
They do not understand. I just read the obvious blank stare on their face. It's like I have to unteach what they initially learned or believe and that is harder than starting from scratch. Sure, they are young and do not research information themselves, and easily believe what they see. It happened to all of us.
I think we have the burden to counter whatever information hundreds of BS food companies which spread garbage information via TV, radio and other powerful mediums of choice. They throw billions of dollars in marketing efforts to infest the minds of the youth and others.
The food industry in America is BS man. The more I read on it, and the more I see commercials I get irate.
