I tend to let out shouts that resemble grunts if I'm really in it lol. I only do them for Power Cleans, Barbell Shrugs, and Military Press though. I admit I have caught myself at times, but no one really cares... or nobody really wants to step and say something.

LOL

No, I am not that nicca. Sometimes my face looks like stone when I'm lifting, my homeboys be making fun of it. Saying a nicca doesn't even look like he's straining. I make a couple of animalistic grunts every once in awhile, and screw my face up a lil on heavy benches/shrugs, but thats about it.

I hate when n*ggas be grunting all loud and doin baby weight. I understand if you lifting a mack truck worth or weight, but n*ggas be grunting curling 30's and sh*t.

Some nikkas have the right to grunt, they pressing 405. I heard this one nikka yelling one day, Im talking loud as fukk to make me look around. Nikka was doing dumbell flyes with 30lbs...I know heavy is relative to the person but big dudes dont even make that much noise in the gym(no homo)

As in grunting after one rep or after every rep? Usually I make the screw face, with the occasional grunt at the last rep.

Haha, I see that a lot. But you'd be surprised how many females venture over to the jungle portion of the gym. Either way I don't mind. I don't speak to anyone when I'm in the gym to begin with.

Funny story though, this past week I was doing Lat-pulldowns and on my last set when I was running on fumes, I was breathing out so heavy that I spit my gum out right in front of everyone. The funny sh*t is the hangtime and distance that muthaf*cka had. I atleast picked it up and threw it away; I see some cats blowing spit and gum all over the mirror in front the Squat Rack and they don't even wipe it off.

You should add free weights to your workout routine, even if is just to have variations from your usual exercises. It will greatly benefit your results.

and LOL at being scared of the hardcore crowd, don't be, they(we) do not bite.:)

yeah i've heard you guys say this a lot .... i think i'd just feel akward cos i don't really know what exercises to do with the free weights and such. maybe i'll get a trainer for one session to just show me the ropes over there.

get an issue of mens health.. yall should have that at your salon on g.p.

there's nothing you can do really wrong with a free weight as long as you can lift it..

I found this new workout modeled on pirates unsheething swords for activating the rotator cuff before doing pulldowns... neat.

I just remembered, I have a homeboy who screams like a b*tch when he's lifting heavy. Sometimes he does it because it's funny, but sometimes he be dead serious. And if the dude spotting him touches the bar, he yells (while spewing saliva in a high pitch squeal) "Don't touch it!" Used to have us rolling in the gym.

A bit off topic, but is it just me or does every gym have that one cat who swears hes a boxer, constantly shadow boxing instead of lifting? I swear I can't stand those cats.
