I saw Pinback for the first time last night. The opener sucked, some band from Ann Arbor. Pinback, on the other hand, was ****ing awesome! They got on stage around 10pm and just tore the house down untill about 11:30ish. They played everything I could possibly wanna hear, mostly songs from "Abaddon" and "Blue Screen Life", and I think they did a song or two from "offcell" and older albums as well. When they ended with a great rendition of "AFK", the place went bananas. People were cheering, clapping, stomping, screaming "encore" and "one more song." Pinback got back on the stage to do a seven song(!) encore. very impressive. Rob let one guy up on stage to play a solo, hilarious. I picked up a shirt and "blue screen life", I have a hard time finding Pinback albums in record stores in michigan, the only other cd I have is "abaddon" which i got from best buy. so in conclusion, awesome show!

Pinback is dope one of the bright spots in an otherwise abysmal San Diego music scene. Do you know the name of the band opening for them?

Hmmm. The only band I can think of with a similar name is like Saturday Looks Good to Me. Thanks for the review. I'll definitely try to catch Pinback during the summer.

Pinback's amazing. I got turned on to them about 4 years ago. Why they don't get more props is beyond me.
