“………as sunlight creeps through the drapes and clothes your face……as you lie there peaceful…I watch you……I fantasize of the night before….your warmth…touch…love……I watch you sleeping ……with the innocence of an infant….this is a precious moment…I wish you will sleep longer……so I can hold that moment forever……as your brown eyes open…you look at me…as I dance in your image……I thank the Creator that I caught a glimpse…of a star that fell from the sky…that other’s don’t get to see…”

In my dreams I can re-enact....
What has happened not even an hour ago..
The cherub that rest upon my dresser...
Had to use its wings to cover its eyes...
We made it blush..
So even as I sleep...
I can still...
Feel your warmth around me...
Smell your scent in the clouds that float above me...
Hear your voice call my name....
And I answer...
My Sergeant at arms...
My Night Watchmen...
You protect me from the nightmares...
Not with a weapon of some sort...
But with your patience...
Knowing that when my eyes open again....
They will rest upon your image..
And be at peace....
