People say that protein is better for you when takin it with just water, but that shyt is too disgusting for me(unless its muscle milk)

I use that optimum nutrition whey, lately ive been putting like 5 ounces of water+ 3 ounces of milk plus the protein.

Do yall think that will help me more than drinking it with all milk, or am i just making **** worse?

Its not a question of which is better, its a question of how much can you stomach. For faster absorption (post-workout) you need to use water so the protein is broken down quicker by your muscles. Milk and Milk protein have Casein protein which is a slow absorption type of protein mostly suited for pre-bed/night times snack. Mixing a Protein powder with milk slows the absorption; so it depends on when your taking it.

As for the taste, just man up and down it. Like I said Milk is fine for when you want slow release protein; it also makes a filling snack when you use milk. But for post-workout nutrition nothing beats mixing with water. You need protein immediately following a workout, and then 90 minutes after (usually solid food).

that's the same kind i drink, i mix 2 serving size scoops with a 16 oz bottle of water in the blender and just chug it. it tastes worse to me mixed with milk and mixing it with milk also makes me fart like a muthafuka.

i dont think i explained myself well

i mix it with milk and water at the same time

1 scoop of protein 6 ounces of water and 2 ounces of milk is how i take it.

both, like yesterday for example. Before my workout, I used milk mixed with water, after I used straight water, then the next time I used milk and water agai...

Sometimes I use straight milk, and sometimes straight water, and sometimes both. It's all on what I got, how I feel, and what it tastes like.
