Puck, you wanna make me a best of tracklist for Nirvana.

I had Nevermind and remember lovin it but I lost it a few years back. I dont know enough about their catalogue to really speak on it, and I want to know more of their material.

How do you give a thread negative stars?

You could have picked any number of old blues artists.
You could have mentioned the bands the members were in beforehand.
You could have mentioned anything, but you chose to mention some old obscure band that only has like one song worth remembering.

Yeah I'm sure 10+ years of diverse music from one the 10 best bands ever all stemmed from them "jacking" a band with so much creativity that they just called themselves "America".

they jacked their style from america

Its the Beatles by far...

Id also put Stones, Zeppelin, Hendrix Experience, and Sly and The FAmily Stone over Nirvana. Nirvana is the greatest 90s band though.

Are you serious?

What's really funny about this is that "A Horse With No Name" is generaly considered to be Neil Young rip-off.

Also, that Led Zep formed two years before America.

Nirvana is in my top 25 (cause of when they came about...powerful group for my generation.. but.. not the best by far)

Yo I don't know if they're the best (I would say no) but they are up there and really a great band. They deserve all the praise they get.

Man all that grunge shyt bores me. I need elements of shyt outside of rock in my music otherwise it's just boring to me. The only dudes who get a pass are Stone Temple Pilots who are nowhere near the best bands I've heard.

a) nirvana birthed the so called grunge movement the rest just capitalized off the popularity, that doesnt take away from the quality of music to me, STP were no where near nirvana, if you were an objective fan you'd know that

Wow you are worse than doeboy when it comes to this shyt. I don't really like/know about rock that much anyway. Just cause Nirvana's one of the greatest bands in the world doesn't mean I'm supposed to bust nuts at the sound of their name. They're aight at best to me. It's all about new wave and post-punk for the kid. But you can continue to fume in your self-proclaimed musical superiority.

What's funny is that Cobain himself was a fan of new wave and it was one of the major influences that led to Nirvana's work.

Nirvana did not birth the grunge movement. Almost everybody knows that. They may have been the most "popular" band to be associated with grunge, but they sure as hell didnt birth the style.
