I mean like ministry or NIN? The closest thing I've heardf in the past couple years from a new band was Death From Above 1979, but they aren't "metal" per se. Where the fukk did this style go?

Industrial = disco metal. Industrial is one of the stupidest genre names ever.

SYL is good.
Mastadon and LOG are way better though. Slayers new album should be huge as well.
As for metal you can dance to, all I can think of is Industrial music, and I'm never been a huge fan of that besides some Ministry.

Strapping Young Lad is sort of wack. I like mostly everything out now, but nutthin is messing with Shadows Fall, so hot right now, Shadows Fall. Trivium is doing it up too.
You can dance to Static-X and Linkin Park ...
Could someone upload the Mastadon album?
http://www.myspace.com/earlyman
Thoughts?

Most off-point statement ever. They sound literally nothing like Sabbath.
Static X
Death From Above 1979.
I dance my ass off to those guys.

Is Isis a metal band?
Technically yes, but a lot of their sh!t isn't "metallic" per se.

I've only heard ummm.. Oceanic is what I think it's called. What is the general consensus about that record?
Basically, I stick to all the older metal that I know and love. I'm not in the right mindset to listen to new metal at all.

yeah ...i was real into Dillinger Escape Plan...Converge..Cave In..etc.... circa 2000 ish...those were the last of the heavy bands i was able to "really" get into. a lot of the "new" stuff i'm not feeling...maybe i'm not looking in the right places.

I really haven't heard that one too much, I've stayed listening to Panopticon, which is kind of like the slower parts of Tool with less singing.

All those bands went away for a little while and are coming back now, I've heard the new Cave In and Converge albums are really good.

I couldn't get into that stuff. Sort of thought Beloved(us) were aight. And I liked Candiria (different but the same sort of) and December, but otherwise, I wasn't feeling those metal/hard rock acts. They get a lot of underground love though.
Wanna REALLy dance to metal?
Go to blentwell.com and search under the metal section or something. They have really good mashups, and sped up metal tracks with extra drums. Has more of a party feel.

Man, Morrisey's a fake ***. I heard from a friend who saw him at a few bars in LA in the past couple years and he said Moz had a ton of b!tches and was taking them back to his place. He fakes being gay to make his whole image seem persecuted. Now all this is hearsay but dude seems like the type.
