Pour onto them the wisdom....
That was given to us..
No less then what we plant...
Will grow for us...
Cowardness in the image of the black man ..
Will cease to exist...
When you hold your son you...
Not only protect him but you..
Strenghten his need to create love...
And when I hold my daughters hand...
I'm not only giving her something strong to hold on to...
I'm showing her the power in being a woman....
Let stay the course..
For the fate of the world....
Rest within us....

Thanks babe, I was reading some of Octavia Butler's work and this piece popped into my head. If you ever get a chance to check out her work if haven't already she's an excellent writer....The science fiction community lost her recently but her work lives on...

SDG - Thanks for the heads up, I embarassed to admit that I have never read any of Octavia Butler's work, but I will check it out. I've been reading James Patterson he's made me a fan of his Alex Cross character. I mean go figure a white man writing about a brother isn't that like an oxymoron or something? I'm glad that you will "keep on keepin' on" isn't great when you "get in where you fit in".
