What are acceptable or target body fat percentages for both men and women?

Mine is 14.3%, jus had it taken last week

Anyone else know theirs?

I'm still cutting, but I'm a little over 9% right now. Hoping to hit 7% by the time I head back home.

Im at 12 now and worked hard to get here...14 aint bad at all though. Most americans are probably 21%+

Very true; these days if your less than 21% your in good shape. The obesity in this country is down right disgusting.

14% is not that bad, like the fellas above me stated. You're actually not too far off of being lean, so just keep plugging it in in the gym, keep a solid consistent diet and you should be on your way to being lean.

Yo Big H you're right, the obesity rate is truly disgusting(I think 30% of the population, and 50% of the population is overweight). The US is probably the FATTEST country in the world. *shakes head* Of course theres different factors that contribute to this epidemic(fatness). but I blame alot families/parents who themselves are not aware of better eating habits, so their kid's eating habits become just as bad or worse. But hey, to each its own, I guess.

Yeah, 14 isn't bad. You'd be considered healthy with that.

I can still function well at 7%. One summer I f*cked around and dropped below 4% and it was a bad experience. 7 or 8% is fine for my body.

I don't see myself ever gettin' below 10...then again...no need for me to drop below 10.

I dunno what I'm at now...it's gotta be MUCH higher than 10% though. LOL.

I'll get one of the trainers at my job to get the calipers out and measure me.

most of you seem good... nothing to worry about... 7% is ****in crazy make sure your eating properly... bodybuilders are around 4% during contest time, most of those dudes pass out behind the curtains... one of the reasons im not really into body building, powerlifting, and strength is where its at

You can't plug in your height/weight and waist or what not on any site and get any kind of accurate reading for somethin' like bodyfat percentage.

Those calcs are bullsh*t. Do yourself a favor and invest in some damn calipers or go to a physician and have it done if your afraid of f*cking it up.
