makes more sense to switch to a healthy diet...one that you can actually follow after you drop the weight...with that kind of workout routine, that diet is not gonna give you enough energy...getting in shape is really just common sense, lots of people don't wanna hear that tho

It's not going to work. And by the way it's not healthy for you to lose all that weight so fast.

My problem was I was always over-eating.I lost 10lbs in 3 weeks by eating responsibly. Another 20 lbs and I'll be back at my ideal weight 170

ok so you're eating an all bran cereal at breakfast? that's good...uppin your fiber intake will help you lose weight

you know ranch dressing is one of the fattiest dressings you can choose...you'd be better off going with a vinigarette...and tuna is an execellent source of lean protein

I'd replace the dinner salad with some grilled chicken/fish and/or brown rice/vegetables

i'd like some fish for dinner. no rice coz its carbs n my ass is full of them.. NO HOMO

i was thinkin its better to eat the chicken/fish for lunch coz dinner is at 6pm and no physical activity after that. just sleep

Damn the title mad my stomach growl...you can't live off rabbit food alone doggy. I think the exercise is more important than the food. As long as you drink a lot of water, have a lot of protein and don't eat more than you have to you should be skraight. I've been running 2 miles every other day for about a week, still beastin on snacks and I can still already see my 6 pack comin back. Shyt's simple mass flow...burn up more than what you consume and you'll lose weight.

what kind of white girl sh!t is that? On a side not you need a certain amount of carbs, because if u don't it can raise the acidic levels in your blood and all type of other bad for your health type of things...plus wouldnt takin in so lillte amounts of cals actually slow your metabolsim down like crazy?

This is an excellent menu. Dressing is one of my guilty pleasures also. Femme put me on to some Salad seasonings by McCormick I think and I put that on my salad instead of dressing. I also marinate my chicken before I put it in my salad which gives it extra flavor and eliminates the need for dressing.
u marinate it in butter dont u?

salad seasonings? never heard of it...

I use this mango vinegarette they sell at the health food store...that shyt is so damn good

lots of people fall into the trap of thinking just cuz they eat a salad, it's automatically low fat/healthy...then they think it's okay to put fatty dressing, bacon bits, cheese....all over it

agree with psutopshotta...a certain amount of "good carbs" are needed...I don't buy into the whole don't ever eat a carb thing...

and 500 calories a day is crazy, the amount of calories you take in should be based on your weight...that's that hollywood crack plan right there

40 lbs is a lot to lose in one month son, you better hope you are taking A LOT of protein in to keep yor muscle from burning off, but 40 lbs is more like a 2-3 month loss if you want to do it the right way and have a decent physique afterward.

I bet you crash your metabolism after 10 days, inevitably causing you to revert back to your old eating habits... I got 5 on it.

It's not a question of will power at that point; its a question of how much danger your willing to put your body in.

Its very counter productive to drastically reduce calorie intake of any sort. Your weight loss program is somewhat similar to what pro bodybuilders do for their cutting phase before a show. This cutting cycle is very taxing to their bodies, depletes almost all sources of energies from their bodies and they(most of them) become weak before shows and when on stage. However, bodybuilders have other "resources" that still keeps their bodies somewhat safe and able to go back to their normal diets afterwards. You don't have the knowledge and the experience of a body builder when it comes to nutrition. So I would advise you to have a more conservative weight loss approach diet-wise.

Be proactive and conservatively start lowering your calorie intake by 500-1000 calories every 3-5 weeks, for example. Until you reach a low enough calorie figure(2500 cals-1500 cals) that still gives you some form of energy for daily activities and gym activities.

And as far as your diet you might want to add some more sources of protein, fiber: Like lean beef, chicken breast, fish, tuna, egg whites, oatmeal. Also look for slow processing carbs such as potatoes(baked potatoes), salads, dry fruits, nuts.....

uh, what kinda ****ed up plan is that? you're workin out like 6 hours a day or somethin? Why does everyone always try drastic measures to lose weight, u didnt put it all on in a day or a month, so you aint gonna lose it that quick either.

Btw, to the original poster, if you go on that diet and assuming you stick to it and lose a lot of weight, no matter what you do when you get off, you'll inevitably gain a lot of that weight back since your calorie intake was so low on your diet, when you up it to a normal intake, you'll put some fat back on.

Most important thing to do is get a diet/workout plan that you can stick to and make this a lifestyle change not a one or two month plan so you can lose a bunch of weight and go back to your crappy diet

People always told me that I should use ranch dressing on my salads. But I use to eat A LOT of grilled chicken salads (even a lot of McDonalds salads). I use to put cheddar cheese, parmesa cheese and crutons(sp?) in my salads. Then I would drown my salads in ranch dressing. There was not a green piece of letuce in my salads. I still lost 75 pounds in a little over 5 months, with an hour of cardio 5 days a week.

Best of luck to the thread starter with the diet. I lost 45 pounds in 3-5 months by eating foods low in sat fat, watching calories and trying to make the best decisions possible. I'm still doing that now and I haven't gained any of it back.
