For some reason, my other threads have been deleted so I pose the question again.

I'm currently using muscle milk when I sleep. What are some other protein supplements?

Any protein shake will do; they all have BCAAs which are vital to recovery and growth. Try to keep it as simple as possible. Adding Creatine or ZMA wouldn't hurt though.

Focus on actual food as the best PWO nutrition. You get gains from whole foods, not solely supplements.

As far as whey protein supplements, theres so many available out there. However, here are some that I recommend: ON whey protein (gold standard), GNC whey Iso, muscle milk, I usually take these with meals, and before and after working out. And MET-REX meal replacement and Casein protein, for when you are not going to eat for a certain period of time(2+ hours), also nice for before and after(waking up) bed.

you say you take the shakes with meals but doesn't the body only intake a certain amount of protein per serving/meal?

It depends on your body weight, daily activity level, metabolism and other variables.

Anyway, the shakes(ON whey protein) I take with my meals have about 24g of protein and the meals have about 15-30g of protein(sometimes less). Im making sure Im consuming about 1g(sometimes 1.5gs) of protein per 1 lb of body weight every day. Now, I weight about 253lbs, so I need to intake 253+grams of protein per day because Im in a bulkying cycle.

oh yeah, I understand the per day thing but I heard its not good to intake say..like...60 grams of protein in like one shot. They say consume them in small portions. I HEARD...dont quote me...that your body will consume some where around 30-40 grams of protein per serving.

I know what you're saying. I consume roughly about 25-45 grams of protein per meal(including shake). And I have about 6-7 meals a day.

yeah...ok..i see you.

its hard for me to make so much meals a day because im always on the run. I normally try to stick with the shakes to after work outs and when I go to sleep. Other than that, its basically what I eat.

i have a box of these MET-RX "Big 100" meal replacement bars that i bought on sale for like 8 bucks thinking "wow what a great deal" ...only problem is these bastids tend to kick in my gag reflex like NO OTHER. i can usually force down about a quarter of a bar before giving up the battle. so here i sit with a box full of em....just staring at em. :hmm:
now after workouts i usually just drink one of these http://www.vigorousliving.com/iszecadr2012.html ....taste like juice.....40 Grams of protein....& very easy to get down. also still using the Redline RTD\PUMP RTD preworkouts...
