what i really need to do is retool my faith
just ignore the things others have to say
we all know that opinions carry no weight
i refuse to keep letting words ruin my day
this time a brother is going to try real hard
to do the things that i know will please God
and you my friend you should really start
peeping the Bible that is your hole card
doing the right thing should be your quest
if you don't succeed at least try your best
for you will live the life that's truly blessed
then God may one day seat you as his guest
as i head down the road of the unknown
i hope that it leads me to my father's thrown
for indeed there is much that i need to atone
all be it as it may that my opportunity's blown
if we were to read the Bible and it's words obey
then our life would be vital instead of in disarray
and of the devil's traps we would not fall prey
if we walk with the Lord and we do not stray
