my post count has dropped about 2-300 posts today. someone's messing with my count. i was 15,000 yesterday and now i'm back to 14,700

what the **** is up with that?

the only thing that's funny about the situation is your reaction, and that's only mildly amusing at best. and i have no idea what happened to your post count and neither does retta. it may be because they're doing mass pruning of threads, which sometimes messes with people's post counts. it really shouldn't be that big of an issue. it is not affecting your posting in any way.
