i had a vision
intense and resplendent
i ran to you
embraced you
kicked my legs up around your waist
smelled the scent of you
kissed your neck
surrounded you with my arms and warmth
like a loving shawl
we stayed like that for a few moments
that were timeless
precious
i pulled back
to lock into your gaze
your love spoke thunderously
yet soundlessly
through your eyes and mouth
telling me
pretty is in the eye of the beholder
but beauty is in the soul
and that i was beautiful
and we will soon be
