Anybody use a fitness ball? I really want to get one but I honestly don't know what to do with it. There are also fitness balls at my gym but I feel silly trying to use it and not know how to use it. There isn't usually a trainer there when I workout so I'm trying to seek advice elsewhere. I heard they are very effective. I really want to do some ab exercises with one but I'm not to sure where to start. Anybody know of any good websites that have ab exercises that can be done with a fitness ball? I've found some websites but they haven't been too helpful in terms of detail. What about dvds/videos? I'm trying add some variety with respect to "toning" my abs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

yes I have one, use it all the time (also use the one at my gym...practice at home first & you'll feel fine using it there)...yes, it's extremely effective for abs & general streching/flexibility.
for dvds...the one I mentioned in the other thread "On the Ball Pilates" is excellent....when you first get one, just lay on it (back down) to get a feel for it, make sure your feet are far enough apart that you have balance...at first you may feel wobbly, so the getting the proper form down is really important. They come in diff sizes, so make sure you get one that is right for your height. I also use one of those lil deck of cards that has all fitness ball exercises, you can get it on amazon or most bookstores.
