I was looking at getting the bowflex...i think everything together was like $1500...a gym member here is like $30 a month...ultimately which is better...i was leaning toward the gym membership...but my friend said the bowflex is better! your thoughts?

Don't get a Bowflex. If your gonna spend that much money on equipment your better off buying the real sh*t for your crib if you have the space; other than that stick with a gym membership.

Its cool to have a gym membership, cuz it gives you time away from your house when you want or need it. Id get a membership. If you are too lazy to leave your house try buying equip if you have space, but if you insist on the bowflex, look in the paper for a used one. My friend sold his for 500 dollars and the machine was used less than 10 times.

bowflex machines are ****ty. machines in general are ****ty compared to free weights. plus you'll be more inspired at the gym. most people buy home equipment and it turns into a coat rack. go get your ass a gym membership, find a workout buddy, and get swole.

bowflex is a piece of ****...

$99.95 one time fee + $9.95 a month lifetime membership = that crack

id say a gym membership simply off of the strength of the knowledgeable cats that go there.

only reason why id get any equipment at home is if i didnt have much freetime to goto the gym...like my life now...but i simply do push ups, curl ups, and other simple exercizes and i look and feel like im in half way decent shape

it also depends on your goals. if u just want to be trim and athletic you can get away with just a clean diet, push-ups, pull-ups, crunches, running, playing sports, etc. but if u want to be a monster w/ muscle mass u gotta attack the squats, deadlifts, and bench hard and heavy...
