Falling down, the world stays spinning
Against my left side, as I choke, on the vomit and my pride
And feel the burning effect that’s always left
From an existence more blessed than residue would give it credit for
Punch lines and metaphors don’t move me any more
But the motion of the ocean is the change I’m longing for
The words in the book, with its chapters and its verses
The time and effort took, for its message, is it worth it?
