Verse 1

Falling down, the world stays spinning
Against my left side, as I choke, on the vomit and my pride
And feel the burning effect that’s always left
From an existence more blessed than residue would give it credit for
Punch lines and metaphors don’t move me any more
But the motion of the ocean is the change I’m longing for
The words in the book, with its chapters and its verses
The time and effort took, for its message, is it worth it?
I want a quick fix, an implant
Show me life’s dance In a nutshell, that everything will go well
Stand firmly; assure me, stand near me, and feel me
Lead me and need me, feed, clothe and wean me
Breast-fed on the milk in a land without mothers
Feeling no connections in a land without brothers
Walled up and walled in, I find I’m starving for Walden
But then, fill up on whatever’s handy
Not satisfied, but no one can be
Not when the soul inside that burns only fuels form what you’ve earned
Off and on it plays like Marcus Camby
On a sandy, beach I speak as the shore line retreats
Change lapping at my feet, infinite and necessary
While the out going tide drowns out the answers why

Hook x 2

All alone, in this world, we swimming
So do your best just to keep it afloat

All along, in this world we live in
What we get is what we needed the most

Verse 2

Reaching out for a hand, I float motionless
And watch the lemmings all pretend their leaders don’t exist
One by one they trip in to this singular abyss
And only then will they pretend the ends justify the means
Stripped of all their greens, their silvers and their gold’s
The folds in all their wallets hold receipts for colors sold
Stripped of truth, no identity
Ignorance has its serenity but lies just to better me
Inside I tried to let it be, but couldn’t let the past go
And it’s not worth the hassle since the future sets you free
All things flow out towards the Sea,
You might try survive on your ‘My’ while I’m swimming towards a ‘we’

Hook x 2

All alone, in this world, we swimming
So do your best just to keep it afloat

All along, in this world we live in
What we get is what we needed the most

Hey yo, not bad really. For someone who is not OUT there making records (I'm assuming) that is a good smooth, controlled piece. You voice may not be moving for everyone and I love the beat though.

How long have you been making music?

Making beats since 1997, writing lyrics since 2000, first finally recorded in 2003.
