Okay before yall roast me, here is the deal. I am not that heavy around 170lbs @ 6' 1" (ectomorph) I have excellent muscle definition, and a body fat between 2-5% (yes you read correctly) they couldnt even get a proper sampling with the electronic body fat machine. And the only part where I have some fat is my lower back (wierd) none on my legs arms or chest.
I have made some steady gains with my goals starting at 150lbs (hence the name BUCK50) to my current weight, with an eventual goal of 185-190lbs. The thing is, I would like a little more body fat. No love handles or anything. I am currently eating around 3000 cals. Even when I tried to bulk I couldnt gain fat but gained solid muscle.
I am pretty high strung always moving and multitasking. I love ball, but I even cut that out in attempts to gain more muscle and fat, but my metabolism would probably be considered extreme.
So how can I increase my bodyfat say to 7-8% without eating junk? Comsume more carbs? calories?
Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Tuna, etc. You probably just need to eat good fat because you have a high metabo.lism. Eat the peanuts, alot of them, eat bread. Etc.,

Its a fairly simple equation, if you're a healthy adult. To gain weight you have to have a surplus in daily calories. You ought to take about 3000-6000 calories a day, if you truly want to bulk up and up your body fat % along with muscle gains. Plus, you need a solid weight training routine, lifting moderately heavy(65-70% of 1RM) weights for muscle growth. muscle growth also means fat gains(some fat gains), they go hand in hand, unless you're taking anabolic steroids.
Also, sounds like you're lacking a structured diet since you did not mention how many meals you take per day. Intaking 4-6 meals a day should be your target, and including a variety of food groups will only help your quest to bulk. There are threads in the fitness forum regarding healthy foods for healthy muscle gains. Add supplements as well, such as whey protein, omega3, multivitamins, vitamin C, etc. Theres alot of supplements out there, but at this stage you don't need much as far as supplements but Whey protein is important.
In restrospect, stick to high protein foods, high/moderate carb foods, low fat(0 trans fat, low sat fat) foods, low cholasterol foods, moderate fiber, and low sugar foods. And try and stay consistent with a 3, 4, or 5 day a week weightroom routine. Cut cardio activities a bit, just do cardio maybe once or twice a week.

yeah, you dont need to eat fatty foods to get fat... you just need to eat more calories than your body needs to get through the day + recover from your workouts.
eat old fashioned oats and instead of using water make them with skim or low fat milk. not only are they extremely calorie dense, but they're a good source of protein and they're extremely healthy. you eat a few cups of that per day on top of what you normally eat and you will raise your bodyfat some. (i think 1 cup of oats with 1 cup of skim milk is 400 calories.)
