I'm reaching out for something but not asking for nothing, just a little bit more...
I scan the platform and search for you but you are not here....
You have tricked me again..maybe you were off today or left a little early, I'm just assuming....
I walked the same steps, my pace never changed....
There are 10 steps to reach the top, you sit in the second cabin 4 inches from the door...
I reached the top step expecting to see your briefcase but it wasn't there...
I'm getting a feeling in my stomach like I'm hungry but food is not the answer...
When I see you, my heart jumps, you are running towards me in my mind, but in reality you are running for the train...
I catch your eyes as the train pulls off... you smile....
I, I, I can't believe this is happening....
You have seen my face...
Now I must venture to the next train stop...
I'm not ready for this......or am I?
