Rap Mogul Set To Defend His Crown

by JUDY BATTISTA

Manhattan, Jan. 21 - Just when Jay-Z thought he was out, the legendary rap star and current Def Jam president has been brought back into the recording studio in lieu of a scathing new "diss" track released by his former protege Cam'ron Giles of the Diplomatic Crew. The song, titled "Beyonce Loves It", accuses Jay-Z, whose real name is Sean Combs, of plagiarism and other nefarious business practices. Mr. Giles goes on to claim that he had an affair with Jay-Z's fiance, Beyonce Knowles of Destiny's Child fame, and offers some less than flattering words about Jay's public appearance. Reports out of Def Jam claim Jay-Z is not taking the criticism lightly, and is currently recording a response to the song. This would not be the first time Jay-Z has been involved in a well publicized feud. He had a famous tit-for-tat with Queens rapper Nasir (which was later laid to rest when both rappers performed together last year at the "I Declare War" concert in East Rutherford, NJ) and he engaged in a lyrical squirmish with underground rapper Canibus. Even the late great Tupac Shakur had some harsh words for Jay-Z on the song "Ether", which forced Mr. Combs to respond with his own song "Taking Over." No exact time table has been set for Jay-Z's response to Cam'Ron, but sources indicate the track should hit the airwaves in the near future. One thing is for sure, the rap world will stay tuned.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was, in fact, real. A small publication of the Chicago Tribune, called the Red Eye, had a short article about Cam's diss...with all sorts of bad information.

........um, yea that article is probally really in todays paper, but they don't know what they were talking about

now if I wrote the article I would be like

"After being humiliated by Nas and being forced to retreat to south france to learn how to swim with other pre-schoolers, Jay-z has once again been humiliated by yet another rapper. No longer are the days of people afraid to diss jay-z, now are the days were people will walk all over jay-z"

Tupac hit Jay-Z with that Ether and had him crying on hot97. "**** Jay-Z!" is the harshest thing I've ever heard an ex-rapper say to a live rapper.
