I honestly don't know, never been in a competition. I know n*ggas in prison do about 100 straight. I used could do that, but I stop really focusing on pushups..

there was a bum who would hang out in front of clubs and do push ups for money. he'd match you and do another 20 or something one handed.

i do 20 wide, 20 reg and 20 triangles randomly through out the day. so i guess 50 would be a good number.

i do 50 straight, 2-4 sets on any given day how i feel

tryna get them one handed pushups down, i can do 20 straight both arms, but i struggle like hell

Varies from person to person. If your trying to get in shape, just do them to failure (point you can't do anymore). Each time you do them try to squeeze out a few more reps so you gradually build it up. What makes you stronger is doing forced reps when you know your body has hit the wall; nothing adds strength and kicks in hypertrophy like going to failure in all your lifts.

I can tell i'm getting my strength back, I did 75 straight this morning and I'm not even sore. I feel energized almost. I haven't did 75 straight in about 6 months. I'll get back to doing 100 straight every morning when I'm off 2 days straight.

For a male, I think 80 in 2 minutes.

I'ma chick, I do 50 in 2 minutes.

A good way to get good at em is by pyramids. Start from 20 (or more!) to 1, 19 to 1, 18 to 1, 17 to 1, and so on and so forth. Thats for regular and wide armed. Closed hand or diamond, I start at 10. If that doesn't get you to muscle failure, just go back up, 1 to 20.

my dad told me just do the most pushups you can do straight once a day for 6 days. the next week add 5 more (easy to do). and keep adding 5 every monday and you'll be doing hundreds before you know it.

i used to watch him do 150 straight pushups every morning as a damn warmup before he started running/lifting.

well if u stop lifting for 2 weeks u will lose it quicker than if u stopped doing pushups for that time
