ok long story short... i use isopure zero carb whey protein....love it.
ok so i went trying to find the biggest tub of this stuff i could find...i was kinda in a hurry and picked up the wrong damn thing. i got the Isopure MASS. 7lb tub for $69. i'm not trying to bulk up.....just tone.
not until i got home did i realize the calories & CARBS (fu*king christ the carbs!!!!) per serving! i wanted to cry.
worst part is i've already broken the seal on the lid so i don't know if they'll take it back or not.....
so my big Question is: just how fat will this crap make me if i use it ....say i cut the serving size down to half (3 scoops instead of 6..about 400 cal ...and 40 grams carbs)
i also do cardio 6 days a week(mostly swimming)...and circuit train about 4. someone HELP!!! i don't wanna add poundage... muscle yes...poundage no.
You gotta work it into your daily calorie intake so its not a problem. Cut back on other foods or just use the shake for your post-workout nutrition. As long as you stay below or on your daily calorie intake you shouldn't worry about gaining fat.
You mentioned you want to gain muscle; well in order to gain muscle you must eat over your maintenance calorie intake anyway so adding the weight gainer wouldn't hurt, but as long as you keep the servings low and moderate.
Or you could also use only 1 scoop and a half to give you roughly 200 calories and around 20 grams of carbs based on the numbers you provided. Thats the beauty of powder supplements; you control the servings 100% of the time.

good stuff.... very helpful info. THANKS! my friend freaked me out today when i told her she was like "don't use it ...it'll make you blow up blah blah". i figured as long I'm not eating a sh*tload of calories daily (which i don't) it shouldn't be that big of a deal... but i just wanted to be sure.
also i just looked at the label again...it's only 600 calories...per serving...which would make it about 300 if i did 3 scoops that's ok i guess. only problem is i was getting way more protein with the Isopure Zero... 40 grams in only 2 scoops. with this one it's 53 grams in 6 scoops. not that big of a deal tho...just have to up the tuna and grilled chicken intake i guess...
thanks again.

Your diet dictates if you're going to get fat or lose body fat and NOT the supplements. The supplements only accentuate your diet and whatever goals you have, whether is losing weight or gaining weight. So as long as your diet is set up to maintain the weight you already have then the whey protein will not get you fat.
When you say that you just want to "tone", what do you mean? Im sure you mean lose/cut (some) body fat so that more muscle definition can be seen on your arms.
Technically speaking, the "tone" of your muscles is involuntary, so you can't change it by lifting weights a certain way. At rest, your muscles are in constant state of partial contraction in order to be ready for action. You can't make your muscle longer(without surgery) and you also can't etch into a certain shape or look. Your genetics determine the shape of your muscles. If your goal is to see your muscles, your goal isn't "toning", its losing body fat. IMO the term "toned" is incorrect and misused by people in regards to losing body fat, including personal trainers(PTs). I believe PTs use it because the term body fat is somewhat sensitive to alot of people or the PTs themselves don't know any better.

you hit the nail on the head. i'm a swimmer so i'm not trying to get too "etched out" or anything like that. when i say "tone" i mean getting as LEAN as possible....so losing body fat % is right. i guess tone is the wrong word to use. you and Big H pretty much answered all my questions. thx.
