After hearing that it was 9:30 a.m. on the radio
I frantically jumped out of bed late for work
And of all days,see there's a corporate meeting
With some very important clients man I'm dead
No time for Breakfast I just bust out the door
So you just know that the car would not start
I make a break to the bus stop just in time too
Reach n my pockets I got three 5 spots and a 20
Man a brother had put to a whole five in the fair box
Stop at dunkin's got a breakfast sandwich to go
Headin out' I notice that there's cheese on my food
And a brother hates cheese so i just toss it in the trash
don't get me wrong if you can't speak it comprehend it
The meeting went well the clients ate it up the boss is cool
So cool that he's springing for lunch across the street
While waitin' for the grub I start to dwell on my day
When I notice a homless guy fishing in the trash can
I tripped when he pulled out the bag that I had tossed
Dude was eating and just a smilin' happy as can be
When we headed back to the gig I doubled back out
To see if I could catch dude he was about a half block away
He stopped and stared at me as I ran towards him
We just stood there looking at each other for a while
When i reached into my pocket hoping to pull out a 5
And I just laughed when I saw it was a 20 in my hand
I gave it to him and said thanks he smiled and said crazy m.f.
and we both laughed it was one of the best days of my life
I see him from time to time and I slide him a buck or two
He looks at it to see if it's a twenty and says I guess u ain't crazy
