I usually eat about 45-30 minutes before my workout and right after my workout. And I take those before and after meals with a whey protein shake. thats usually the rule of thumb, its like keeping a constant supply of nourishment to your muscles and body which is key for muscle growth, body fat loss etc.
What is your goal with fitness/exercising??
p.s. Im assuming you have a solid/strict diet(which is about 60% of the equation for body fat loss, muscle growth and etc).

I'm not trying to lose weight. I'm only 115lbs. I just want to be lean.

being or getting lean means losing body fat, if Im not mistaken. Unless you want to gain (lean) muscle mass. Either or, still would require you to restructure your diet by cutting fatty foods, cutting high sugar foods/beverages, upping protein intake, getting a good supply of carbs. And Eating at least 4 to 5 smaller meals during the day.

Thanks, for the info.
I have a problem eating 5 small meals because I'm still hungry afterwards. Have any suggestions?

add snacks like protein bars or any other non fatty snacks in between meals. or you can also take some whey protein shake in between meals. But remember your goal is to lose body fat(a.k.a get lean), so you don't want to get more than 4000 calories a day. Since usually people on a bulkying(gain muscle mass) cycle stay in between 4000 to 8000 calories or more a day. I would say anything below 4000 cals daily should be ideal for you.
Are you doing any kind of calensthenics/cardio or weight exercises? If yes, whats your workout routine looks like?

I just started with a routine. I go the gym and I work out of the machines (I don't even know what they are called). I'm sorta testing the waters. My goal is just to maintain my weight for the rest of my life so....

I lift on an empty stomach (mornings) and it works best for me, but I do know some who lift in the evenings and they claim that a targeted release of carbs prior to their workouts are a huge help. You'll have to experiment and see what works the best for you. I do my best when I lift in the mornings right after waking up so I stick with what works.
You should always consume high protein and possibly refined carbs (sugar, dextrose, etc.) following a workout. You should consume protein immediately following a workout, and then again after 90 minutes (this time make sure its a solid food). The carbs following a workout are up to you. Its good to get them in to replenish Glycogen in your muscles and give you energy, but whether or not you use them depends on your goals and situation. I used to mix in Dextrose with protein shakes following a workout to give my body both, but when I'm cutting I don't do this.
