Ok, so I finally got fed up with her laziness of not working out. She's 5'1" 147lbs, don't look bad but could be soooooo much better. (http://mie.bpcdn.us/4North1Side2/perfect.jpg) She thinks I want her to look like other girls but I really want her to better her image. To motivate her, I make her walk around with bags when we go shopping and I walk at a fast pace so she can keep up with me, call her fat, or threaten to break up with her. Is that to harsh?

I do this because I'm finding it very hard to incorperate exercise in her life. She goes to school from 8am-2pm then to work from 3pm-11pm. Would it be better for her to do 20 min cardio in the morning or at night? I took off 10 min because she's a hostess so I figured 8 hours (no break) of seating guests and maintaining the rest room is burning some type of calories. Would doing 20 min cardio every night be beneficial to her losing weight? I'm trying to have her lose a pound a week by June to weigh in at 127, or atleast 1/2 a pound a week.

I would say start by you and her structuring her diet which is the most important part of the fitness/exercising equation. Eliminate all the fatty foods, high sugar foods and sodas, etc. And you could allow her a cheat food once a week. Spread her meals during the day, take 2 healthy meals to school and 2 to work, for example.

As far as exercising, she could do cardio/calensthenics twice a day, 5 days a week. Once before she goes to school and second after work, since she has a busy schedule. Or go to the gym early morning(6-7am), and do 30 mins of cardio and 30mins of free weights and machines everyday of the week. I think she would shed some pounds and get into a solid shape if she straightens her diet and did calensthenics(sp).

honestly, thats probably too harsh. Especially since females are more sensitive to that type of treatment than a dude. Got to give her positive encouragement. If anything, tell her she's lazy and fat/out of shape is what she's gonna be once she gets older if she don't start hitting it right away. Tell her she won't be able to keep up with you because you're gonna be at a different pace in life once you two hit a certain age together.

I got my girl doing a little something, but it's only when I remind her. Other than that, she won't do it. She's not fat at all, but I wan't her to be a little stronger. you'll have to deal with some whining and complaining, but tell her that this is a hobby you would like for her to share just like you try to share some of hers (and if you don't, you better start). Tell her it's something you want both of you to share, and once she gets used to it she'll love it.

Start her off slow. Most of my girls workouts come from light dumbells at home, under 15lbs. Since she doesn't have a gym membership and we don't live together, we don't get to share alot of time in the gym together (but we will eventually). I have her doing mainly squats, lunges, toe raises, jumping squats, front shoulder raises, some curls, some overhead dumbell tricep extensions, and lateral side raises. Thats about it. I try to get it her to do them about 3 times a week for about an hour, but I don't have the time to make sure she always does them. She's been doing them for a couple of months to get used to it.

Once I get her in the gym with me, her workouts will be more efficient.

That looks like a pretty solid program for a newbie. The jumping squats might discourage her a bit, I would think. But, you did a good job by setting your girl up with a very basic routine. The real key point is enjoyment, if she gets to enjoy doing the exercises, everything will fall into place and she'll want learn even more exercises; which is what you want.

First let me say that i like skinny toned girls. But when i met my girl she was about 10-15lbs over what i like. I saw the potential, and knew what she needed to do. However the problem was she didnt see the problem. She looked better than most and thought that was good enough. So u calling her fat and stuff, i think is a good idea but to blunt. I would do stuff like pinch her thighs, ask her when shes gonna get some muscle on them arms etc etc....

Ok to the workout. I agree with the dude who makes his girl do a basic routine with light dumbbells. I didnt read over it all but seemed good. Id say if she doesnt want a gym membership get her a set of dumbbells at about 50cent per lb ranging from 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, and 15. As far as the work out maybe a 3 day a week workout of. Monday wake up and do 3 sets of 25 crunches, then at night pushups 3 sets of 12 moving the hands out and in, followed by 3 sets of twelve curls. Wensday crunches in the morning at night lunges, squats, and two shoulder exercises. Friday crunches in the morning and bent over rows, one armed behind the neck tris, and tri kickbacks.

If u could have her do cardio maybe in the evenings of tuesday and thursday, 20min thatd be great.

I dunno pretty basic.

She running on a very tight schedule tho. I know what you mean by seen the potential. My girl has thick as thighs, talkin about beyonce curves, D sized t!ts, and a ok azz. She just need to lose the weight at the stomach and neck.

I just started her with the jumping squats because the regular ones began to get a little easy for her. So instead of her doing more reps, I have her do maybe 2 sets of regulars, slow and sometimes with pauses, then she does two sets of the jumping squats. between 10-12 reps each. Then jumping squats make her break a sweat, and if you ever did polymetrics, then you know that it gives strength and a good burn to the ass/thighs. But she just recently started it...
