On his throne he sits
my king
gems glistening
on his fingers
and wrists
lips too royal to be kissed
he sits
so high
above any love I could ever provide
in robes of gold, silver and red
priceless crown perched upon his head
he can grant me freedom
or have me trapped instead
surrounded by stones as priceless
as this king
I so revere
he is so near but feels so far
from reality
untouchable
in all his glory
his greatness is too great for me
his competent
omnipitence
is oh so breathtaking
my voice is left breaking
trying to explain
his greatness
but
I hate this
uncrossable space between us
that Im determined to cross
for him I would take that risk
but does someone worthy of him
even exist
now the untouchable king
I have seen
I wish...hope...pray
and attempted to dream
I wish..hope..pray
I could be his queen
