is there any way to increase your endurance? is it just basically keep working at it, and increasing the length of your cardio workout, and eventually you can up it?? kinda like lifting? (gotta start off low, then work your way up?)

hey bri...Swim... Swim & Swim some more.
when i first starting swimming i had the endurance of a lab rat. now i can swim 20-30 laps with no breaks. i swim for an hour & a 1/2 everyday....almost 3 miles.

start out slow....swim like 30 mins. if your arm\leg muscles start burning (which they will at first) nothing wrong with stopping and resting. it gets easier the more you do it and eventually the muscle burning will stop completely. great way to build endurance and build super lean muscle mass (even the muscles you wouldn't imagine are being worked) .. also the endurance you get from swimming mos def carries over to the machines....you'll find that you can go longer and HARDER on the machines within only a few weeks. ;)

whats goin on tiff? hows work and whatnot? (how bout them rangers huh?)

i cant really swim :(

i could probably manage, but dont have a membership to anything right now...

it sucks, when i was younger i used to bike everywhere, like 30+ miles a day or so... and now i get on a bike and im about to die in less than half that... im getting back into it though, i can see things improving all ready...

i can do the 30 mins fine, but i wouldnt mind upping it some... im not really into that "drink redbull or do some blow" energy gain... i wanna get there by myself...

damn, i always heard it was the best exercise you could basically get, but didnt know you used up that much energy...

i mean i can get by, but it probably looks like im drowning... its weird tho, cause i know how to snorkle, but dont know if id trust myself swimming with no equipment in a deep pool or something...

and another question... i heard sitting in a sauna will actually burn calories... is this true? i know that theyre great for cleaning out your pores, but does it really get your heart up from the heat? my parents wanna put one in there new house...

somewhat true you cutting weight but its not fat a sauna drains your body of water so your really cutting water weight through sweating......... its useless you can bun a few pounds in a sauna then drink a 2L bottle of water and put it right back on

nah i know your loosing mostly water weight by sweating, but i heard the high temp gets your heart going quicker, so you are burning calories... or is that complete garbage? someone told me that awhile ago but i couldnt really believe it...

i dont think loosing water weight is weight loss... i drink wayyy too many liquids to "loose" weight that way...

ok and now another question...

which would be better, and why if there is an explanation...

would it be better to be on a stationary bike for a shorter amount of time going faster and getting your heart rate up higher, or for a longer time at a slower pace and not getting your heart rate as high? (like 30 mins alil above 30 miles per hour, or about an hour at alil over 20 mph)
