They have been around for a minute and just as long as Boyz II Men and Dru Hill. They have out lived Jodeci. I mean, their music has been tight throughout the years. Their last album was nice but didn't get much play and it's crazy that once certain producers like JD who helped establish JE's sound and style move on, the sound of the artist changes when they don't collaborate with the producer as much to make those nice hits. Like on their new single "So Amazing" it is nice and they have two joints produced by JD but they lack his sound.

Dru Hill, Jagged Edge, and Boyz II Men have not been around for the same amount of time. I stopped reading after that. Until I changed my mind and kept on reading (hahah).

They only outlived Jodeci cause Jodeci broke up and Jodeci were out way b4 them. I guess you can compare JE to 112, and in that case, 112 have more hits, but JE have better singers, and JE use their harmony mroe often. 112 ( to me) is based too much on that one guy.

I only own one JE album (their first one).

Bascially, JE seems to be done. There's no room for male groups anymore. Chris Brown, Neeyo, Jamei Foxx, will be all the consumers need. Then the soul ppl will buy their Jaheims, Avants, and Bilials.
