have you given the latest MMJ album ("Z") a real listen? I was actually shocked by how different and good it sounded. I don't know much about their previous material, or about the band in general.

Yeah, that LCD sh1t has a nice variety. And every different genere dude incorporates into his sound works brilliantly.

lcd gets too repetitive for me, as does most dance-punk sh1t, but i do like what they released this year.


MMJ on the other hand I am finding more and more of their sh1t I like. Some of it is too alt-country sounding, but ALOT of their older sh1t is rather good. Look for the EP they did with Songs: Ohia...fukkin bluesy and sh1t.

Can I assume that when talking about the LCD Soundsytem album, you're inlcuding the Bonus Disk that came with it?

Because Yeah (Crass Version) is by far the best LCD Soundsystem song.

It's a good album, but get rid of stuff like Movement, Thrills and Great Release, replaced with Beat Connection, Give It Up, Yr City's a Sucker and Yeah, it would be very good, and more consistent sounding.

Changed my mind, album was actually very good. Couple of tracks that were average but stuff like Beat Connection, Tired , GTive It Up and Disco Infiltrator are great.

I was thinking about something else.

LCD was a good album, far from my personal choice as best of the year though. I still haven't actually listend to the entire My Morning Jacket album, its been sitting on top of my cd player for months along with Neil Young's new cd. lol.

Z is an incredible record from start to finish

LCD is a LONG album but for the most part its very entertaining

That My Morning Jacket is garbage...LCD Soundsystem album is cool, has some catchy songs but not really something Id listen to that often.
