pearl jam are, in their own respect, overrated as well. nowhere near the same realm as pink floyd though. Ten was an incredibly solid album, but other than a few random songs, PJ haven't done anything noteworthy since.

I don't even think 10 is Pearl Jams best album. People who state that it's the only good thing they released, I have to question whether they've ever heard any other pearl jam music.

Broken Social Scene do not suck.

Pink Floyd and Pearl Jam are too different to compare. I respect Pink Floyd however I'm not the biggest fan.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who doesn't hear anything special in The Doors however.

pearl jam isnt experimental enough to be compared to pink floyd..none of those seattle based bands are....pink floyd was some mystic shyt...most grunge bands are only guitar, bass and drums...so these 2 bands are too different to compare, pink floyd and radiohead would be a better comparison...

BTW "grunge" is my all time favorite type of rock..im listening to screaming trees right now
