Does anyone know of any good beginner jump roping routines for cardio?

i heard of this one where u hold the end of the rope in each hand and then bring it over your head and jump over it...u basically repeat this motion over and over and its supposed to work

Thanks! I had no idea how to do that :rolleyes: But for the record, I was asking about a routine as far as tips on starting out...timing, stretching, proper techniques, and how long/often you're supposed to actually jump for cardio benefits :santa:

good question..i dunno, i guess stretch out ur legs and then do it until u get tired..thats a very scientific response i know

ok do this for 30 - 40 minutes

Jump rope for 2 minutes or until u are out of breath
do 2 sets of 12 crunches
Jump rope for 2 minutes or until u are out fo breath
do 2 sets of 8- 12 push ups

after a while the push ups might be a bit much so replace those sets with crunches or walking lunges or lunges
repeat this over for 30- 40 minutes
