View Full Version : Thoughts on Tha Alkaholiks' Last Call
Tha Alkaholiks are set to release their final group album this winter via Koch Records
Tha Liks are set to return with Firewater after a four-year hiatus. The album will be released by Waxploitation in conjunction with Koch. The trio will then go on a farewell tour before retiring.
"We were party animals for over a decade," Tha Liks' Tash said in a statement. "Times are changing. We'll still get together once in a while to do a song here and a song there...but this is going to be it as far as albums go."
While they stayed away from high-profile guest appearances for the set, Dangermouse produced a track for the album. To date, the group has released four albums: 1993's 21 & Over, 1995's Coast II Coast, 1997's Likwidation and 2001's X.O. Experience.
Tha Alkaholiks' Firewater is slated to drop next February

they gave us so many good albums, it sucks to see them split up but at least its on good terms.
i still bump Coast II Coast & Likwidation on the regular. XO Experience is my favorite album and is always in my car rotation. although it takes them damn near forever to release an album, every album they do release is a step up from the previous one.
i cant wait for Firewater... :headphone

excatly, and the most consistant. every album they released was at least 4 mics and they do it w/o big name features.

I should diss you, write rhymes on the issue
I come up with hooks that'll pull out your tissue
Like Tito, white kids think I'm neato
I chop MC's up and throw em in my burrito
WHAT? Never interrupt me when I'm speakin
Just sit your ass down and say, "Weallll" like a Deacon

Your style is funny like hoes with big butts and skinny ankles

I'll miss the Alkaholiks.
Too bad they didn't make it to 2014.
I remember seeing them in a King Tee video. I bought 21 and Over off the strength of their performance in that video. I wasn't disappointed in any of their efforts.
accoriding to Waxploitation.com Tha Liks should be dropping Jan 06...great way to start the new year :D
here is a new Tash freestyle/unfinished song...

Likwidation is cool but has a lot of fillers on there, XO Experience is my favorite album of the four...

you can listen to some of the album on their page...
anyone get the cd?
i been jammin it for weeks now. its O.K. could of been a lot better though. i rank it a notch under XO Experience. it seems like they (J. Ro & Tash) didnt bring their A game lyrically on this CD, probably saving their best for their respective solo albums. E Swifts beats were good as expected. Poverty's Paradise, a E. Swift solo track, is one of the few standout tracks on this album. i give it a 3 out of 5 because a lot of the tracks sound the same and the lyrics arent up to par compared to their previous albums.
all these views but did anyone get the album?
