I don't know about that, I'll have to think it over.

Have you heard their remix album Romance Bloody Romance?

Yeah, I got that remix album. I like DFA alot, I dunno about this album of the century stuff though, Songs For The Deaf > You're a Woman, I'm a Machine, and its not even close. Besides which, the Head's Up EP is alot better then You're a Woman, I'm a Machine.

I just came across this Test Icicles album, and what I've listened to so far is good. Might give 'em a run for their money.

Songs For the Deaf, although good, is not really as raw as this YAWIAM. I mean for gods sakes.....skits man?

Well it is a concept album of sorts, and the skits tie it together more. Its not like they are long or anything either.

im sayin though... it definately has some very very good tracks (namely "song for the deaf" and "hangin Tree"), but to me its too polished man. not as grimey as YAWIAM

Song For The Dead, First It Giveth, Millionaire, and Song For The Dead are all way grimey/darker then anyting on that DFA album. Especially Song For The Dead/Deaf.

Oh, also just wanted to brag that not only do I have tickets to an exclusive QOTSA acoustic show on monday, i've also got backstage passes for the DFA/QOTSA/NIN show as well

How am I an elitist douchebag? I don't dislike Queens of the Stone Age because they're popular or well known. I genuinely haven't like what I've heard from them.

Anyway. De-Loused in the Comatorium is still the best hard rock album of the century thus far. So far it's looking like DFA1979 is pretty much a one shot gimmick, I don't really like too much that I've heard them do since the album dropped, and unlike The White Stripes they don't seem to have too much depth to their abilities to branch out byond what they've done.

again, just like QOTSA, to me DLIC although very good and "hard" at times, isn't consistant enough in regards to being a full on "hard rock" album. DLIC has so many "chill" downtempo moments (which I enjoy) that it hardly qualifies in my eyes. And what does it matter if DFA1979 haven't been consistant? This is about YAWIAM, not their career. (damn these names and titles)

Dude. It ain't amtter if the whole thing is hard to be a "hard rock" album. Sh!t Aenima is one of my favorite" metal" albums ever and at least half of it is pretty chill.

Well thats how I like my heavier music, perhaps you don't. But if I want to hear something raw, no breaks-no skits-no marimbas, then Im going to spin this album before anything else that as dropped since 2000.

I'm uploading it right now. It's not bad. Definitely entertaining, it sort of sounds like Shyne would sound if he fronted a hardcore band.
