I wanted to know, because I prolly won't be getting to one for about a week, due to the hurricane and other circumstances, so what do you do at home (what do YOU really do) when you can't get to the gym?
Well, i ran the treadmill for a few minutes, until my shins started acting up, but usually I do some type of polymetrics and dumbell work, whether it be alot of lunges for my legs, weighted jump squats, etc..
I do about 200 pushups also (It used to be a few sets of 100, 75, 50, but now its 3 sets of 50 and the last set reaching for 75. I also alternate hand positions for each new set). Or sometimes I go about 6 sets of pushups: 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, 25 and alternating hand positions.
I might try to do at the most 15 one handed pushups each hand to top off the pushups.
I do about 400 crunches, 2 sets of 200 or 3 sets of 150, alternating positions and types of crunches every 25 or 50 reps.
Calf raises
Pullups (if possible)
Hand-Stand pushups
and thats about all I can think of now. Anybody else got anything they do? I'm looking to find more things to work out.
NOTE: I do not do all of these everyday. Depends on how long I go without getting to a gym I'll do different variations every couple of days...
