Last night: Focused on my back yesterday as well as a couple Bosu ball exercises. After that, did my running.


Today: I'm planning to swim laps

Just started a Dorian Yates style routine. Difference is I do 3x10s, 3x8s, 5x5s, etc instead of his 1xwarmup + 1xhowever-many per exercise.

Shyt is straight piff so far...

i been doing my regular... busting my ass running in cold weather...snow...sleet..rain...ice. got two colds - beat one, but the 2nd is beating me up rite now.

i avoided pigging out during xmas... i had a fever, nausea etc. slept for the most part. so no weight gains only losses. (-4)

I kinda made a little obstacle course for myself today. . .

Started by jumping rope for 10 minutes then went into one round of this routine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctfe4HwAb48) with 20s.

Between those, I'd jump rope fast as possible for a minute straight, do curls (olympic bar & dumb bells), cable pull-downs, back raises, decline bench w/ dumb bells (5 long reps/5 short reps for 3 sets w/o breaks) as well as crunches on the decline bench. I'd do one or two of those and go back to the exercises in that vid.

Finished it up w/ a set of Turkish Get Ups w/ the kettlebell for each side. Overall, the workout went for about 55 min; my heart pounding the whole time.

Thanks man, I had been keeping up with the workouts, but with the holidays around it slowed me down just a bit. I caught another one of the new NORE workout vids on youtube. He started his training around the same time I did & is about 12 lbs ahead of where I am so far, so that only hyped me up more to hit the gym.

The gym closed early NYE, before I got off work and closed the first. :thumbsdow

Today I did some of my tire training w/ the sledgehammer for about 20 minutes before leaving work then drove directly to the gym. I did a similar workout to the one I did the 30th w/ the rope, dumbell drills, kettlebell, back raises, crunches, curls, etc.

*plans to feel a huge burn come morning time*

hit shoulders and abs today HARD AS FVCK.....I usually am not a fan of going hard on shoulders but like legs its an acquired taste, Im to the point where I can now enjoy every sessions instead of just half the time

Finished work early, so til the clock struck leaving time I banged tires w/ a sledgehammer, did a few more kettlebell exercises and jumped rope to finish it off.

:laugh: Not exactly a gladiator, but as of late I've been altering my workouts from the usual gym atmosphere. I still mess w/ some of the nautilus machines now and then as well as get on the treadmill (although it's been about 2 weeks and I'm starting to prefer jumping rope for cardio), but lately I've been more up on freeweights and all the other unorthodox stuff I've been posting here.

The main goal I've been striving for is simply to get into the best shape I've ever been in.

Now I'm down to a 42" waist (not sure how much I weigh - haven't weighed myself since July lol). But I wanna get down to a 38" and just wanna get jacked for the summer. I'm really excited at where I'm at and where I'm headed. I currently have definition that I've NEVER had in my life (and I'm 29). It's nuts. I think I may need to lose another 40 lbs so I'm thinking by April/May I should be straight. The crazy thing is that I've been kinda slacking regarding my diet...so I wanna get good for the next two three months on the diet grind again (not eating as crappily).

Congrats on the progress and keeping up with the gym for all this time, man. It's definitely not the easiest thing to do.

I started (again) around a similar spot as you around the end of August/beginning of September and have just been getting more and more strict on myself. I still give myself somewhat of a break at times so I don't drive myself insane.

The one thing that really kickstarted my drive was the point that I was nearing 25, and figured that I'm either going to have to make an effort to change things or go thru the rest of my adulthood in a messed up position healthwise.

Keep up with what you're doing, you're not the only one trying to reach your goals.

Did a full routine Wednesday (Not typing it out again; THANKS COVO SERVERS!), and just jumped a little rope Thursday.

...can't front though...it was an abbreviated work out. I slacked last week. Only hit the gym twice. I need to go in this week. Phuck is wrong with me....damn

Started the morning with some jumprope for like 10 minutes and I did the usual after finished w/ work today. . jumped rope for nearly 20-30 minutes straight and some of the kettlebell drills to go along with that.

I'll probably just work on some push ups thru the evening.

That pinching tricep pain I made a thread about ended up being a sprained tendon (says this physical therapist).

Out of upper body commission for a couple weeks. Sucks.

The thing is my gym is in my building and is open until midnight so I have NO EXCUSES. This past week I worked out 4 times and wanted to go yesterday but I was too damn hungover and football was on...I phucked around and ate like 6 of those peperidge farms cookies :sad:. I should be shot.

Ok I did an upper body workout off of my 2 month gym layoff

Garage workout with powerblocks and other free weights

3 sets db bench press
3 sets pullups
3 sets standing military press
3 sets incline db curls
3 sets of dips

Last week I type slacked off. . hit it hard maybe 2 days and did jumprope and kettlebell drills some of the off days, but not as hard as I should have. Not to mention, I kinda slipped on my nutrition a few times.


Just got back from the boxing gym doing their 4:30 - 6:30 workout; it's hell! :thumbsup:

played ball for 45 (didn't run no fulls or nothing...just shooting around) then I ran two miles, did chest, back, and abs...
