one time NYU had the roots up there for an entire show with they band an they had thought spitting with lord tariq an half a mill.......black thought blacked out that night that is one of my most cherished tapes ever.....no roots fan can front on this tape.

That was a hot one, but Finesse was up there another time, playin wild beats outta the SP. He actually played some of the shyt that ended up on The Awakening. He was freestylin for like 50 minutes, over mad of his beats. Thats like one of his best appearances on there, EVER!! That was fall '95.

here is another gem you cats dont know about....Rocksteady used to have they anniversary in NYC at a park uptown and stretch and bob used to always show up and every body would bring they WKCR shows and play them on they boom box to see who had the sickest shows....and there was always some n1gga or white boy who had a show that you never heard before and you would be in awe of them........this one dude has a Lord Finesse Big L freestyle that I had never heard and I was begging him for it

2. Download "FREE Audio Recorder"
3. Download "LAME mp3 encoder

Just takes 14$ and however long your MP3's are. You can do it on any PC no matter how crappy.

"We are looking for missing recordings of the radio show. So far, Stretch has digitized several hundred hours of KCR shows, but some are missing. If you have cassettes or better yet, digitized shows, dated or not, please let us know. It is the earlier shows (before we knew that what we were doing was worth documenting!) that we are looking for ('90-'93).
In the near future, we will podcasting entire unedited shows.

FYI, I'm workin with Stretch to digitize all of my old tapes now.

After checkin, my collection holds every show from Fall '91 to Spring '00. This also includes the nights when they did strictly snaps and comedy, the nights when they didnt have records and took phone calls for hours, and also the nights when only one of each of them were there and they played their friends' demos and tapes.

I'm the KING, muhf*ckas. If yall can be a lil patient about it, youll get blessed crazy once we're able to get all of the stuff online. If youre lookin for a specific show, I got it. Just dont PM me asking for a special copy. I'm going to list what we've digitized so far, and then just put up which show the people want to hear the most.
