Did anyone in here listen to "on the fence," Bobbito's radio show about NYC street ball (and basketball in general)? I got tapes of that too, just for the pure comedy of some of the calls.

He seems like a pretty cool dude. I remember me and my peoples setting off a freestyle session after the Rocksteady reunion way back in like '93 (maybe it was '92 tho). We was just going off of beatbox.. then Bonz Malone came through with the boombox beats, i don't even think he said a word. He just looked around the cipher, and pressed play. Then shyt really started to jump off. Mad cats started spitting...
The funniest moment was when some fake thug mcee tried to jump in the cipher, spitting a written rhyme... that nicca Mikah Nine from Freestyle Fellowship dismantled this kid. Straight hilarious, Mikah flipped out like he was possessed by Poltergeist. Spitting a written in these ciphers was a real violation. Its funny looking back on it, imagine if some of the TRUE off the head rhyme masters battled these new street battlers. Maybe the fake thug with the written battle rap dude was before his time, he would probably get a lot of love nowadays on Smack DVD's.
Anyway some other highlights, this dude i went to school (C-Jax) with was getting real busy, so Breez Evaflowin set it on him. They went back and forth for awhile man, i would call it a draw, they both came with it. I definitely give props to C-Jax, cause Breez is a top tier battle mc. After a few rounds, this nicca 8-Off (Agallah) comes out of nowhere and starts trying to take everyone on. The shyt was funny, i don't even remember who he was battling. I think he actually interrupted the previous battle between Breez and C-Jax, just trying to bogard his way in the cipher. That was really the first time i took note of his odd appearance, dude looks creepy for real. Anyways i think Bonz was still holding down the beats throughout all of this, but a lotta niccas dipped out after 8-Off started spazzing out :laugh: :laugh:.

I take alot of what I do from him. He probably started with a 4 track and worked up to an 8. Maybe he got a digital joint like me and has 8 tracks 64 virtual.(layered)
