WOW! Now this is some hard sh1t to do. These boys are amazing. Quite possibly the greatest band of all-time. I love all their stuff. However, when it comes to picking a favorite song, "Strawberry Fields Forever" stands out the most. That's the best Beatles song ever made.

What's shocking about the Beatles, is that they literally have 100 other songs that would make other bands' top 5 or top 10.

Ah ****, how could I forget one of my favs, "I Am the Walrus". That's a top 5 Beatles song IMO. A song that's disappointingly overlooked from the psychadelic period is "Baby, you're a rich man" off of Magical Mystery Tour. Another amazing song.

I think it'd be safe now to say they are "THE" best songwriters of all time ;) I mean, is there anyone even within a mile of them? I really can't think of one.

Let us bring this thread out of retirement.
It's like Pringles, can't pick just one.
In My Life is possibly the GOAT.
Yet Here, There, and Everywhere is just...that's the most beautiful love song I've ever heard.
Nowhere Man? Brilliant.
Eleanor Rigby...wow.
I can't pick just one favorite Beatles song.

There was actually a top 101 Beatles' Songs list in a new music mag out this month, MOJO. They had a bunch of popular musicians vote on it.
"A Day in the Life" was #1, "Strawberry Fields Forever" #2

they fukked up though, they had tomorrow never knows as number 4. TNK isnt even the best John Lennon song on Revolver, yet it's the 4th greatest song they ever wrote? bullshyt.
they also had she loves you at number 5. now while i LOVE that song.....come on, son.

^Yeah there's no way "She Loves You" should have been #5.
I was pleasantly surprised with "Tomorrow Never Knows" at #4, though. If anything, though, that made me worried that too many people were onto the secret of (what I've always felt was) its huge importance.
What do you think Lennon's best on Revolver was?
Brooklyn329

I personally love I'm Only Sleeping, my favorite Lennon song on Revolver.

She said, I know what it's like to be dead
I know what it is to be sad
And she's making me feel like I've never been born.
I said, who put all those things in your head?
Things that make me feel that I'm mad
And you're making me feel like I've never been born.
She said, you don't understand what I said.
I said no,no,no you're wrong
When I was a boy.
Everything was right
Everything was right.
I said, even though you know what you know
I know that I'm ready to leave.
And you're making me feel like I've never been born.
She said, you don't understand what I said.
I said no,no,no you're wrong
When I was a boy.
Everything was right
Everything was right
She said, I know what it's like to be dead
I know what it is to be sad
I know what it's like to be dead.

way too many songs to name. pretty much any song between revolver & abbey road would be up for my 'favorite' beatles song at any point in time
