That's the best RnB verse of all time. It doesn't get the respect it deserves.
You know the head of the label was like what the "f*ck is this sh*t?" when Marques turned the track in.

Yeah To Tell U The Truth When Joe Was On The Mixtapes I Liked For The Fact That He Was With Fab But He Was Nothing More Then Ya Typical Mixtape Rapper, There Was NOTHING Special About Joe.
I Copped His Album And Was Maaaaaad Dissapointment To Be Honest But Walk Wit Me Had Me Like Wow
After That I Didnt Hear Sh-t From Joe Or Really Messed With Him, I Didnt Even Fukk With MM1 Besides A Few Tracks I Had Happen To Hear, Then MM2 Dropped And Joey Sucked Me Back In (No Homo)

Kolo, The production on His debut sukkked asss. Who the fuk told him that everybody wanted to hear nj house music beats. I agree the album was a major let down when u realize that the best songs are the oldest joint (walk with me and calm down). In 2004 he had to had made like 100 party records and only 2 of them were good :gag:
I'm amazed that his career turned out this good. I always look at mr.sam like this  when he said old budden was better

I ain't saying he was better, I'm saying I enjoyed his rap style much more then. He was much more of a lyrical, lyrical MC. Now he's more emotional and thought provoking, he's grown as an artist, but fallen off a little as an MC. If 2001-2004 Budden was in Slaughterhouse, he'd demolish them niiggas on every track.

Old Joe budden was more Raw however the New Joe budden is a way more complete artist. The growth album would of been a disaster. I like new budden more
because MM2>>pre-MM2
Sh!t even mainstream and underground artist respect his pen game now.

His debut album had a few good joints.
I think that Buddens from MM1 to MM2 was Buddens at his RAW PRIME. He was pissed off, he was not in a good place mentally and he was motivated to prove he was an elite emcee in the game. He was spitting some raw, grimey sh!t.
Buddens today, he just doesn't have his heart 100% in the game. He seems to be kind of on the fence. His lyrical skills aren't just where they used to be. Before, he used to make my jaw drop every other line. Now a days, its almost like he's just going through the motions.

I mean I agree he was much more rawer back then but its like
Jay-z was raw as fuk on vol.3 but bp.1 is a better album. So I dunno how to explain it. He is making better music now. He is not making where it will have you scratching your head like porno star or roll ya backyard.
Escape route is his most complete material IMO

Budden from around MM1 TO MM2 was the best. I disagree about him being nothing special when he rhymed with triangle offense. His punchlines were some of the best all time. But after his first album flopped, he improved a ton, he had the emotions, punchlines got even better, that was him at his peak. mm3 was still very good though not on the level of mm1 or mm2 imo. And since then hes definetely fallen off a little while still being dope. I mean you can tell if he wanted he could still drop crazy punchlines, look at "Pain in his life" but he doesnt for whatever reason. I dont know why, he was at his best when he mixed the punchlines in with the "emotional" tracks.
