Buying a 1979 Trans Am... I wanted the stingray corvette but wife agreed if I get an old school car it has to seat 4 at least for the kids to go to car shows with me.

Always wanted a car that was released in 1978 (the 79 model) my born year.

Hopefully when its restored it can look as good as Year Ones 1977 Bandit (http://www.yearone.com/yodnn/Portals/1/Images/ban3ut2_535.jpg)

I'm def buying the 20" snowflakes they sell now from Year One. Buying the new rear taillights that are sequential also.

Trying to get for closer to $10,000 cuz they been tryingt osell for a minute now.

The reason I'm doing this is because I'm waiting to get the SRT Chally I wanted this year. No way I'm paying more than $30 for one. Hoping to get a deal in 1-2 years. This will help with my car itch until then.

Those cars are so dope. I'm kinda glad they've grown in popularity.

Yes weekend car. I already have 2 cars paid off (my wife's truck isn't tho), and I had $15k saved for down payment on an SRT Chally.

But I may hold off on the Chally and get this and have $5k for mods (wheels/tires, sequential lights are 3k, another 2k for suspension I hope)

Fukk the cash for clunkers plan

Yup, just a bit too big, not enough rubber (IMO)

That's on 18 and I still think it needs another ich of rubber maybe. Certain classic yanks suit large wheels that didn't exist, personally I don't think the trans am is one of them.
