The biggest rock band in the UK and Europe are American...and they aren't as huge here surprisingly. They have overtaken Oasis, Blur, and probably Coldplay in terms of popularity. But why are KOL as big as they are in Europe. I guess that was their plan originally

Because they are a good band.
KOL were known but didn't really make it 'big' until 'Sex On Fire' came out and took over the airwaves so many people thought that was their first album.
Not that it explains anything...
But these guys are from Nashville, & are the sons/cousins of a preacher.
Sounds like a good backstory.

They're headlining every European festival, playing the O2 Arena (and other big venues) and surely Wembley Stadium in the future, and all the fans there know every song word for word
I haven't seen an American band do this...ever
just started listening to them today they seem aight.

England loves the folk/alternative sound that they have, don't know about the rest of Europe.

Basically. Their earlier sh*t was dope. I like this album, but it's obvious their attempt at a "big" album. It's good stuff to have on in the background.

btw I'm not European
Because they sound awesome and managed to grow their sound from small pub sounds to suit their current setting (sold out stadiums).
Just good music to get pissed too.
