My shyt SUCKS breh
I know my diet is holding me back. Here is what I had today, which is pretty representative of how I eat in general
Breakfast: bowl of Reeses cereal
Mid morning snack: bagel w/cream cheese
Early afternoon snack: Pure Protein bar
...
After I got home: big plate of pasta + sauce + chicken bits
I have seen a few bodybuilding diet plans, and I think I'm gonna switch it up next week. Throw me some tips

pick up "Eat This, Not That". It has pretty good ideas for eating whats best for you no matter what you are in the mood for.
as far as techniques, one way to go is to "eat like a king for breakfast, eat like a prince for lunch, and eat like a pauper at night". I read about that in Men's Fitness from one of the articles from former fatties that became super buff.

p90x has a good general diet that outlines everything for you. Little thinking on your part. Can easily adjust for your goals.

I changed my diet to:
lean meats (KFC Grilled Chicken, Pollo Tropical, Salmon from chinese spot or Long John Silvers),
vegatables (Boston Market steam vegetables),
fruits (I only do apples, it fills you up)
only water or low cal drinks like tea or vitamin water (no diet soda, it upsets the stomach making you think you are hungry)
multivitamin & fish oil daily supplement
***avoid cheese (90 calories per slice) and mayo (90 calories per tablespoon)*** 2 slices and mayo can add 300 calories easily***
This regimen will keep you eating under 1,500 calories per day from being full, (-3,500 calories to burn 1 pound)

I am on a cutting diet now, 2300 calories down from my body's requirement of like 3400. Might be a bit much but I'll see how I feel in like 2 weeks. Goin for a ride now

I don't do diets because all that means is temporary... I just try my best to eat healthy and not to over do with the portions.
I try to limit fast food, Starbucks, or sweets to once a week.
I subbed 100% fruit juices for soda beverages.
Try to drink atleast 1 glass a water a day.
Treat myself to lil snacks thoroughout the day like peanuts, goldfish, popcorn etc...

6 meals a day, about every 2.5 - 3 hours. Each meal with a complex carb and protein, plus small amount of good fats. Typical day for me:
1/2 cup Oatmeal, 2-3 Egg Whites
RUN/WORKOUT
Protein/Meal Replacement Shake
Parfait (Fat Free Cottage Cheese, Fat Free Yogurt, Granola on top)
Whole Grain Spaghetti w/ Ground Turkey, Apple or Banana
Protein/Meal Replacement Shake
3/4 Cup Brown Rice w/ either Grilled Chicken 2 Cans of Tuna
The protein shake can be replaced with any similar meal - such as one listed above or Tuna w/ Reduced Fat Triscuits, Egg Whites and Whole Wheat Bagel, etc...

All those meats you mentioned are salty as hell. I don't know what kind of results you're seeing or your goals, but I'd bet you'd notice a difference if you cut back on all that salt. Don't matter if the calories are low if the food is packed w/garbage.

Yea cuttin sodium out is key... there's a surprising amount of it in a lot of food which sucks

Yep there is. You think you're eating good and then you see how much sodium something has. I switched over all my seasonings to salt substitutes/low sodium seasonings and I've notice a difference.
