I have an '85 Cutlass and putting 24's on it soon...I know i'll need a lift kit, but i dont know how much of a lift to put on it. I know what i want it to look like, but i dont know how much of a lift that look is; so i included some pics below of Cutlass's with the same kind of lift i want....By looking, how much of a lift do you think these Cutty's have? (btw, all the rims in the pics are 24's)

26's need 4 1/2 to 5 inches if I remember right. I'd guess 3inches for 24's.

general rule is to take diameter of new rim=24
subtract diameter of stock rim=15
left with total 9" then divide by 2 = 4 .5 minimum
ps the stock tires are thicker so you have some room to spare
i would go 4.5" to 5 "so it doesnt look like like some **** that explores the moon

A lot of Donks use lift kits from their cars' brands counterparts.

Example: Cutlass would use a Chevy Truck lift kit. Those look to be 5" to 6" lift kits.

That is true... You can use a lift spindle of a S-10 and coils out of a Cadillac, dont forget to extend the upper control arms 3/4 of a inch and the upper trailing arms 1" to keep the rear tires centered. I have seen people in FLA double stack frames to get the lift LOL!!!!!
