go to FootLocker or Famous footwear and buy the sneaker cleaner spray
it actually works AMAZINGLY well, especially on white sneakers
i completely ruined a nice pair of new balances in the mud last night, and brought them back to the life with that stuff this morning
well worth the 5 dollars, trust me

I also use Mr Clean Magic Eraser
I'm surprised no one has come in with the requisite "clean them? I just buy new ones" comment you always see in these threads

Nah, but really though, I don't really get my shoes dirty like that in the first place. I have a good sized collection so I kinda switch 'em up a lot so I don't wear the same pair as often. I'll probably keep a shoe in my collection for about 2 years and then end up giving it away to a relative while it's lookin' kinda of nice and cop something new to replace in addition to shoes I already have.
